Mounting the tires is relatively easy if you are mechanically inclined. A rub down of the tire bead with soapy water allows the tire to be 95% mounted by using your feet and body weight. The last 5% usually requires a tire iron, pinch bar, or big mother screw driver. After you get the first bead on the rim, be sure it is sitting in the small ID area of the rim while you get the second bead on. Orient the rim so the side closest to the small ID area is the side you start on.
If you have to remove the old tires from the rims it is possible, but not easy. I'd recommend you take this part of the job to someone with the proper equipment. Having done it, and paid to have it done done, I can say from experience that the $4.00 per tire for the dismounting is money well spent.
Getting the beads to seat isn't really a problem if you have access to a decent compressor. On rims where there are surface imperfections at the bead sealing surface, I have had good luck using a bead of RTV (silicon Seal) to get a good seal. This is the main reason I do the mounting myself, since most tire shops will not put forth the effort to do a good job if this is needed. They will tell you you need a new rim, after their mounting job results in a leaky tire.
Some brands of tire have a colored dot on the bead that should be aligned witht he tire valve to minimize the need for balance weights. Most tire shops don't pay any attention to this.
After mounting your tires, get them dynamicly balanced after you put on 50 or so miles.
Good luck !
