converting a 9004 to HID using the stock 9004 housing will result in TERRIBLE output! ( just replacing the bulb with HID ) DO NOT DO THIS! It will cause MASSIVE glare to oncoming drivers without the cut-off line E-codes have ( the person who did it thinks thats cool because its bright ), and the output on the ground will be weak and scattered. The lights will not even "LOOK" good because the 9004 housings will reflect the part of the HID capsule which does not (or hardly) emit any light, giving it a brown/piss yellow hue (on some models). I have known many people who tried it and every attempt was a disaster. If you want HID, you must install E-code housings, then use the HID capsules in them. Please, read on this BB

and ask people what they think. ( you will get screamed at) lol
I hope you do upgrade, and if you do, I STRONGLY advise you do go with nothing but the "philips" brand. there are so many mock-off brands claiming higher colot temperature and so-on and there poor quility. Go with philips and you cant go wrong.
