Hi,
Back in the day when the internet was in UNIX and JPG files were UU-encoded...
The orginal internet had 5 parts:
1.WWW- hyperlinked pages (obviously still around)
2. Gopher- database searches (I think, neer really used it)
3. FTP- File transfer Protocol- (allowed you to download files from a
remote hard drive-type servers.
4. Email
5. Usenet- A BB structure of pages. Organized by a few generally topic

I think I may have revealed my geekeness a little too much, must go to Abercrombie and Fitch immediatly and buy very expensive ugly things to fit back in....
