I was hoping to get some of your opinions as I know alot of you are Mac users. I am getting ready to go abroad and I am days away from making a notebook purchase. Here is my dilemma. I can't decide if I should get a top of the line iBook (900mhz G3 14in display apprx $1400) or an entry level powerbook (867mhz G4 starts at $1500 for a 12in). I am an advertising student and run all the adobe products...InDesign, Photo, Illustrator. Do you think that the G3 ibook can support these programs well enough? I am kind of flustered as no one in town carries Mac and I am not sure who I should talk to.
OR do I suck it up and pay $2399 for a G4 1gig, 512mb, Superdrive, and 15in display? (which is just BAD!!)
My only concearn with the 12in powerbook is that sure it is easy to take around, but doing layouts and designs on it could be tiresome with such a small screen.
WOW this is long sorry.
Thanks
Chris Campbell
