OT: From Stainless to concrete cleaning!

Now that I've had the help from the board on the secrets of keeping Stainless steel clean - I'm onto a concrete cleaning question.
We are just wrapping up a new home for my Mother in Law. The home is next door (no, it's ok, she is good people!), and my wife and I are 50% partners on the house. I made one stategic move during the design, and snuck in a separate three car wide, double deep, garage/work shop for myself.
I had a dark grey concrete mix poured, with plans to top it with a industrial clear sealer. I probably spent 40 man hours, and $500 on material, to keep the floor protected during the course of construction. During the last few weeks of the project, part of the floor protection was pulled up, and drywall powder and mud have been ground into this section. I'm looking for suggestions to clean this up, prior to sealing.
I thought I would try to scrape the heavy stuff off with a scraper, and then power wash the full floor. I'm concerned about using TSP, or light muriatic acid, as it might lighten the floor.
Does any one have any ideas on other methods that I could use to clean this area?
TIA,
