Most tape adapters are pretty much the same. Panasonic had some in the past that would turn on the Type IV "metal" setting on a cassette deck, so you'd get wider frequency response, but I haven't seen those in stores for a while. Always keep Dolby turned off. Essentially all it does is cut the treble, because Dolby-encoded tapes have the treble boosted to mask tape hiss. In a car, I doubt you could hear the difference between 160kbps and 192kpbs MP3s, but try listening to them on some high quality headphones. That's where the differences usually pop up.
