Yes, store them stacked on top of each other. Wrap individually to keep out dirt and critters and protect from UV. Clean them well; polish and wax both sides of the wheels and clean all the crud from the sidewalls and apply some water-based protectant. Inspect the tires closely.
A little warm, moist air won't hurt a thing. I've stored wheels and tires for years at a time using this method with no ill effects.
