A couple of weeks ago I traded my 95 900SE V6 for a 2001 Mercedes C240. The Mercedes is a RWD car. We had a couple of inches of snow and the roads were still slippery this morning. On the way to work I was playing around trying to get used to the car in the snow. The traction control (Mercedes calls it ESP) is amazing. I put the car into a turn and gave it a little gas expecting the back end to get loose. It started to come out but before I could turn the wheel to correct the indicator on the dash came on and the car snapped right back into line. When I got into a nearly empty parking lot I tried a little harder. In the RWD Volvo 960 we had I would have expected to be doing 360's but it behaved the same; started to get loose and straightened out before I could react.
My wife traded her Volvo 960 for a Saab 900SET because of the RWD Volvo's poor handling in snow.
