Yes, the little icon denotes a "TSN Member". I'll announce soon what a "TSN Membership" is... I just got shipment of a bunch of really nice cotton knit dark blue polo shirts with embroidered TSN logo which will only be available to those who elect to become TSN Members. Membership will not be a requirement and as it has always been, there will still be no requirement to register on the site in order to use it. I will, of course, for the first few weeks after the program goes live, review reserved names on a case by case basis to assure that those who have been using a particular name do indeed get the name they've been using for a long time here so there will be no race to get Dean ;-) or aizzo for example. You'll get the name you've been using. You won't have to fill in your name and email on your posts anymore either, you'll get a profile when you click on the a members icon, you'll get some space on the server to upload and host images and your own custom URL (aizzo.saabnet.com, for example)... It's all stuff I've been talking about for the past six to nine months, but the coding has been a real back breaker, I have to admit, but the whole TSN site is definitely not a cookie-cutter look alike anyway. There's a lot more like cool little collector's membership pins similar to type we're used to seeing in our SOC attendee packets.
I'll make a more formal announcement when I get a bit closer. I'll also be putting certain membership numbers up for auction with at least one of the auctions benefiting the Crisman Award budget... etc etc etc.
