if you do alot of DIY you'll find that the extra turbo piping etc. makes it more difficult to work on these cars ie rad work, clutch work and generally because of the power of these cars they are typically driven harder, so components wear out faster than NA engines (ie trannies, brakes, etc).
i was surprised how easy it was to work in the engine bay of the 86 notchback 900S i bought recently. tons of room...
but to keep up with today's cars you do need a faster car, so turbos beckon..
