Been there and done that...Only do it if you plan to keep the car for the life of the loan (or at least 3 years). I don't blame you for putting nothing down on the 0%.
Its always fun to trade up. What I did on the way down (because I couldn't wait the 3 years) was I bought used and found buyers for my car and did the trade at the dealer so I never payed tax since the used car would cost about the same as the value of the one I was trading, but I got something new.
All that said -- consider used. Find a car your looking for 1 to 2 years old (3 is optimal) and save a ton and have the same car. Buying used is one of the best ways to save money. It was actually featured in Smart Money magazine this month as an excellent way to save.
