Mobil 1 0W-30 or AMSOIL 5W-30 are excellent choices for that application.
Oil analysis reports show that the lighter viscosity synthetics provide very good protection and performance.
If you want to use a 6W-30, go ahead. Unlikely that there will be any negatives from doing so--but I'd surely use a synthetic.
