Where I live in the Philly suburbs, it's the typical cast of characters as far as the northeast goes...mainly practical stuff on the roads for the weather we get. But one car has been catching my eye. It's a 1959 Cadillac (the epitome of the tailfin), two-door, flat gunmetal gray, no rust, appears to be unrestored, lots of patina. This thing is being driven every freaking day, in ALL weather, and sits in the driveway. This thing is not babied, it is driven, and that is just so odd and freakish. It's almost Tim Burton-ish to be driving through a thunderstorm and seeing a 1959 Cadillac coming at you, like a spooky dream, wipers blazing (when is the last time you've ever even SEEN the wipers MOVE on a car like this. The car is now sitting there covered in salt from the last snow here. The owner also has a late-60's Lincoln that appears to be a backup car. I just wanted to express how freaked out I am about this, and wondered if anyone else knows of a similar situation. I'm USUALLY the oddball in the c900!
