I am currently driving a rental Nissan Maxima 3.5SE. A very impressive car as it is new. But I can already feel the tell tale signs of premature suspension wear. The ergonomics are not as good as my 9K...by far. I was surprised that my Saab auto climate control actually works better than the Nissan....and, I have not figured out the Nissans radio controls yet...neither has my son whom usually has such things set and ready to go in seconds. Still it is a nice quiet ride and sounds really good when you stomp on it. Re; performance...my modified Saab 9K w/auto is about identical to the Maxima in acceleration but I get better MPG. If Saab could have continued with some of the modern day enhancements ie; weather stripping, sound proofing, wheel/tire upgrades, suspension tuning, on the 9K platform....I just wonder.
