I have heard of an old tradition where widowed men would wear their ring on the right hand, and I have noticed that many divorced men wear it on the right as well. FYI.
I wear mine on my left, but I took it off when I worked in the mills as I was in maintenance and I like to keep my fingers!!! I also remove it while working on cars or with tools at home. Rings are bad about catching things and tearing fingers off and electricians have trouble with them because gold is an excellant conductor!
