Yes it does in fact seem a little high especially at a nation level if your number are right but not crazy high. I think state of Wisconsin reportable accident data for deer-car crashes averages around 20-25k a year (or ~15% of all reportable accidents). Property only accidents with < $1000 in damage don't have to be reported and aren't necessarily reflected in those numbers.
