whereas Mobil 1 is group IV PAO oil.
If you didn't find enough information on Rotella T Synthetic on BITOG
you just weren't looking hard enough :-P
Situations like yours is the reason why oil nerds like me "stock up" on
oil. I've got 10 gallons of oil in my garage. I've got all different
Mobil 1's (including Truck & SUV 5W-40). I've got Rotella T synthetic
and non-synthetic. I've got Delo. I've got Delvac 1300. I've got
Motul, and I've got the Saab oils. This isn't stocking up, it's more like
a preparation for nuclear winter :-)
But, someone else who shall remain nameless has 20+ gallons of motor oil
stock pile. My behavior looks comparatively normal.
