I like this kind of thing. You wouldn't believe how my indy did not understand that the alignment changes with ride height. That scared me. They do good work though. Yes, the alignment will change with ride height and suspension travel. Example; If the front of the car bounces up after a large compression bump, while the car us up higher than normal you have a momentary instance of toe in. While the car is under compression, it is in the opposite direction. I made a model of the 9-3 front A-arms and tie rods just to demonstrate my point. I wanted to bring it by to show him but I do not want to show up my indy mechanic since I just hit 102K miles. :)
Anyway, are you concerned that your car is sitting too low or are you concerned that your alignment is out of spec and think it might be because the car is too low. Do you carry lots of stuff in your car? If not, do you think the ride height has changed recently> I know the autocross folks I dealt with actually add weight for the driver in the driver's seat when they align the car so that it is perfect for normal operation.
If you keep lots of heavy things in your car most of the time, maybe they should still be in there when you have it aligned?
