I moved to UT from FL 4 years ago. Here's my take, and this comes from a non-Mormon.

Beautifull state. If you are an outdoor person, you will be in heaven. You can easily find yourself alone on trails, in spectacular senery. Fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, you name it, it's here and hard to beat. Weekend trips to southern Utah parks are incredible. Your also close enough to access Yellowstone/Tetons, Denver etc..

I've found the people to be extremely friendly compared to living in NJ and FL. I will agree there is somewhat of a culture shock, but if you come with an open mind, it's not a problem.

Be forwarned, don't expect the nightlife to blow you away. Then again, I spend all my party days in Manhattan, so it's tough to compare.

I think it's worth it just for the experience of living out west. You can always move back if your unhappy.
