Where is the problem, dash cubicle or radio internals?. Once the radio is out of the dash you should be able to clean up the cubicle and contacts. Maybe well enough to hide the original coffee spill?.....No, I didn't really suggest that!
The radio can probably be cleaned too. A radio/electronics repair tech can remove the cover, discharge any voltage sources, power wash the chassis (Yes, with water!), then autoclave it for a few hours to bake out the remaining water. Electrical Engineering labs on campuses often take this approach with all "failed" electronics. It solves the problem 90+% of the time, and the gear is clean for the few remaining devices which actually require repair!
There is a music shop in Ypsilanti called "Fast Eddies" which has a free-lance electronics guy come in weekly to pick-up lost causes for repair. He fixed an old tape player for me at a bargain basement rate.
Good Luck.
