I got a chance to see the four "European" Sonetts at the saab festival in Trollhättan last summer. Three of the Super Sports Live in Trollhättan (two owned by the SAAB museum and one by a former saab employee, a designer if I remember correctly), one in Germany and the other two in the US. One owned by Saab USA and the other one in a private collection.

Getting to see these cars up close was fantastic, and seeing one of them in action at the Kinnekulle Racetrack was for me one of the highlights of the festival.

Iceland went from left hand drive to right hand in the spring of 1968. There were plenty of naysayers writing in the newspapers, saying a wave of accidents would happen with loss of limbs and lives. In reality however, the changeover was a major success. All the road signs were changed during the night, strict speeding restrictions were implemented and a massive force of police officeres were dispersed at stragetic locations to assist confused drivers. As it turned out, the day registered fewer insidents than was normal at the time.
