because some time before GM made the decision, Saab engineers in Sweden saw the writing on the wall and procured an Envoy or Trail Blazer in Sweden and modified the suspension so the handling was vastly improved. This knowledege was used in the 9-7. The 9-7 is the best handling SUV in the entire GM fleet according to many jounalists. It has been known for sometime that GM was using the bowtie radio across most of the brands. I don't recall a "Saab" radio in any of my many Saabs. Clarion and Blaupunct were predominant in most of them.
