Took a weekend away with Al Aero... an awesome drive out of our hometown of Melbourne (in Australia not Florida!) to a little place called Marysville. This is about 1.5 hour drive north east from Melbourne and up into the mountain area, and at the bottom of a cross country ski mountain caleld Lake Mountain. The drive there is along one of Australia's best roads called The Black Spur (in my opinion anways)... tight twisties and excellent straights with huge mountain ash eucalyptus trees, tree ferns and other aussie native flora. A really pretty area and not to be missed of you ever get to this part of the world!
On Sunday we took the drive up into the cross country ski mountain called Lake Mountain (quite small compared to Europe and US standards, with elevation at about 1400m), and being late Autumn here the weather has been getting pretty cold. Sunday was forecast for only 15C in Melbourne, and it was about 0C in the mountains. It actually snowed (first of the season) whilst we were there and the sleds performed flawlessly! A lot of fun to drive on snowy roads (even with Summer tyres) and to take a bunch of pics of the two Aeros in their natural environment!
Check the link below for a few more pics of the area around Marysville and also of the Sleds in the snow! Not a patch on the snow in the USA etc but still fun for us Aussies! :D
I hope you enjoy
cheers
