The vehicle coasts longer/faster in neutral for manual or automatic gear boxes. For either, you may need to blip the RPMs up to get a smooth transition to back in gear.
Keep tire pressures up.
Clean injectors.
Clean or dirty air filters should not matter at all (Sorry Auto-zone)
Remove roof racks and under body stone deflector flaps (if equipped).
