..Ohio State..BEFORE they played! I would take Auburn as well as LSU and maybe South Carolina or Arkansas against OSU or Michigan. The way they both played after their "big Game", nearly anyone would have taken them down.
You would have to experience the SEC to understand the difference. These teams play like it's a championship EVERY game. The parity is unreal...nearly any SEC team can win on a given Saturday. Georgia lost to Kentucky and Vanderbilt, then beat Auburn and Georgia Tech(ACC). You don't find that in any other conference. Needless to say, they were ready for a bowl game.
The exceptions this year were Arkansas, and Tennesse. They didn't finish the season well, and apparnently "gave up". The SEC doesn't always have the best team(s)...but always has the best competition.
Florida played Ohio State like a team possessed. They never looked that good all year. Ohio State simply layed down.
There's always next year....maybe Bama will be back in form...
