Sorry, CR struck out with me a long time ago. Every single Saab review is, "AAAAAAH!!! The KEY is BETWEEN THE SEATS!"
From a 1999 9-5 review, I think, they complained about the gearbox being locked in reverse so every time you start your car in a parking lot the other folks around think you're going to immediately back out in front of them. NOOOOO!
Starting sometime in '02, more "traditional" GM cars had a feature added where the reverse lights activate when you unlock the doors with your remote. Where's the complaint there? I guess it's okay now.
They rated a 900's defroster as "good." I haven't found a better one.
Sometimes they have a point. That '85 900 turbo had the older-style brakes, which take some getting used to to say the least. The OEM tires were pretty bad that year. Heavens to goodness, they didn't label the instrument light dimmer, and that and the power window switches are hidden behind the signal and wiper stalks. The driver's seat height did not adjust a whole lot, but at least you don't have to get out of the seat to do it.
Sterile, uninspired, boring, and unwilling to do anything differently. I'm not saying Troad and Rack does anything better. Maybe what I'm saying is that most magazines don't reflect how I think. For the people who either agree with them or allow themselves to be persuaded a certain way, let them drive commoners' cars. (LTDCC?)
Besides, they lost interest in my younger 900 ('92) a long, long, long time ago.
