Mom got one a couple of years back to replace ye ole stock standard GE single oven/range (both electric). This was a bit of a step up for us.
Good: one oven gives you the option of convection. The other oven is smaller, waaaay more efficient, and great for broiling. The stove top elements (the red things behind a smoked glass plate all across) work well, and the temperature changes almost as fast as you would expect with a gas range.
Bad: pushbutton panels can't possibly last as long as the good ol' six knobs, and the screeching electronic timer is awful for people with headaches, basically tolerable for those without. I highly recommend using a powered-up floor model if you can find one. As for longevity (I drive the oldest 900 in the county as far as I know...) the book is still open for me for at least five years of use. Also, you need to consider the special cleaning paste you'll need from time to time on the glass range cover. It's not unbearable, but you do have to keep a supply of it around.
