I want to make it exceedingly clear from the start that I am under an immense amount of stress. GES is not some huge company - it's just the name I work under because Apple didn't want me calling the company or device "Trollpod". GES is a one-man show. Naturally, when a new product comes to market there are always going to be bugs. In all fairness, "Trollpods" or AudioTrolls as they go by now were slated for an August '06 release assuming the first software guy I hired was going to do the job. When that software guy quit the first week of August, I was left high and dry. I sought new help and ended up getting the software...... in November, $6500 over budget. The build that was delivered was not a complete product in terms of the software requirement specifications I had drafted up in February 2006 and I had to use my relatively limited experience with ANSI C to create a solid release and avoid any further hemorrhaging of funds. Once orders began to ship in 2007, reports from the field indicated many problems that I had not anticipated despite the range of vehicles I had tested. This made it clear that there were other issues in the software that needed to be fixed to make the device compatible with all variants of pre-facelift 9-5 and 9-3 prior to 2003. Yes, perhaps my business tactics are a bit optimistic and I apologize for that. In time, I've actually become very cautious about the way I conduct business and want to assure all of you who have ordered or are planning to order one of my iPod adapters that I am not out to screw you. I designed this device so that Saab drivers could have the safety of controlling an iPod from their radio or steering wheel. In all honesty, when I got the idea, I thought I'd maybe build 10 and that would be it -- I never envisioned myself losing sleep some random Sunday morning pleading for the mercy of misinformed customers. This is the biggest nightmare you could ever imagine, please just bare with me and we'll all get through this in a short period of time. Thank you.
