Hi Bob!
When you say wireless internet, are you referring to satellite internet (which is truly 'wireless' in that there's no wire from the street to your house), DSL (which uses your existing phone line), or something else? I can tell you that satellite internet is very spotty and pretty slow right now, and DSL, if it can be had for $20/mo or less, is a decent value if you don't do any major powersurfing or gaming; otherwise it can be relatively slow, but still a nice increase over dial-up. In my opinion, cable is still the best bet for us poor technologically-behind Americans; my service (via Cox Communications) is supposedly 15mbit down, 2mbit up for $45/mo. Fastest speeds I've seen are 3-4 MegaBytes (not bits) per sec, though average is around 500-800kbps.
