.........that we have found is to install Saab's hood protector on our
9-5. We have experienced hood paint chips on our 9000s and on our
2000 9-5. We installed Saab's hood protector on our 2004 9-5 and have yet to have experienced any paint chips on that vehicle's hood.
We recently had to have the hood on our 1994 9000 repainted, and the cost was $500 for stripping the old paint and repainting the hood.
