GM propositioned my wife!

And I kinda liked it. Here I am nearing the end of my lease, trying to convince GMAC that if they just negotiate on the purchase price I'll buy the car from them. Easy sale, bim bam boom, but they obviously have residual insurance and don't want to bother with me.
Meanwhile, totally unsolicited in the mail the other day comes a thick glossy packet from GM to my wife, whose Audi lease is up in a few months. Cross on over to us, they say, we'll cover up to $2,000 in lease buyout costs and you can get a brand spanking new GM vehicle. Of course, the glossy brochure extolling the wonders of GM includes Hummer but not Saab, which would be most likely cross-shopping for an Audi owner.
So one of GM's hands is batting me away, a true prospect who will take a lease car off their hands, while the other is waving money in front of my wife to become a conquest. Do they really think it's that easy to get people to switch brands, since all they are doing is making her "whole" on her current lease and not really promising her anything beyond "current offers."
Am I frustrated.
