If you want to store pictures, hard drives are your best bet versus SSDs. Consider upgradability. Some use standard 2.5" drives so you could upgrade to 500GB+ and some use 1.8” drives which cost more and are capacity limited.
All have wifi so that is not an issue. A few newer ones are out there or coming with built in WWAN(gsm, maybe Verizon will get there eventually) .
Atom processor is fairly slow. Consider faster 10-12" laptops if you need to do anything more than basic computing. You also might want to wait for higher resolution netbooks. 1024x600 resolution is a little annoying to use. I've read of a few coming out soon with better resolution, such as the Dell Mini 10.
I think 10" is more usable than 8.9" and the keyboards tend to be manageable for my hands.
Go for the larger battery option, otherwise expect about 2 hours or less.
The 8.9” (or 7”) Eee seems to be absolute smallest, but that keyboard is way too small for me.
Upgrade the ram to 2gb after purchase. Consider the ease of doing this if that is an issue for you.
Consider buying it somewhere you can return it if you hate the keyboard or something else about the netbook.
