That small difference in size will not adversely affect the diff. Unless it is positraction or something really special. They are made to turn at different rates. It doesn'tknow you aren't in a turn. It is mechanical, and just does what it does.
Your tires are half gone. If you want to be technically and actually correct, used tire or shaved tire is all you have. In day to day use, though, I think only a seasoned professional driver, race driver, would ever notice the size mismatch on the rear. And when you rotate, leave the new one on the rear. If you are really concerned, remount and swap it to the other side.
Part of why tire folks say keep everything matched is to sell more tires. Part is real, too. Again, I think you will be ok with the new tire on the back, mismatched.
Maybe you can go to a big wet parking lot and see how it goes.
