reasonable repair time Posted by jblake [Email] (#24) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jblake) on Wed, 22 Jul 2009 18:09:06 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have left my 2006 9-3 SC Aero at the dealer for a warranty repair. The part is backordered from SaabUSA (brake booster switch?). We are now at the end of three weeks with no end in sight. In my mind, a dealer should be able to handle a basic repair in a week's time. This allows for any part to be ordered in that the dealer doesn't stock. To me, three weeks is getting crazy. This is in addition to the inconvenience of going to the nearest dealer (just under 3 hours one-way). I know that if the dealer can't get the part they aren't wholly at fault but it sure seems someone in the Saab chain needs to expedite things or am I being unreasonable? Is this a sign of Saabs financial problems that parts aren't available? Just looking for some commiseration/feedback.
