The Dodge Ram 1500 trucks were introduced last year and have been well received. Chrysler is launching redesigned Dodge Ram heavy duty trucks next month. As far as I know, the Jeep brand is doing ok, relatively speaking, and Jeep owners tend to be very loyal to the brand.
Maybe the reference was to the separation of Dodge trucks from Dodge/Chrysler cars, under the "Ram" name, which was announced last month. They're still all part of Chrysler, though.
