GM has been reading this site, iwontbuyfromgm.com, saabsunited etc, and realized that we are a powerful force!
As much as a little part of me DOES believe the above (maybe we do have a small influence), my guess is that the Spyker and Merbanco bids are actually being taken seriously. That, and maybe the new 9-5 out and about is getting some good press for them? SAAB owners are a pretty empassioned group. I wonder if Pontiac or Saturn owners feel the same way?
I just came back from London and all the UK car mags mention the new 9-5 as an actual 5-series competitor...the first time GM has actually produced something that can actually compete with a 5 series (I don't think the Cadillac CTS can...).
