Many would agree with you, although GM would of had plenty of other concerns too.
If you're right that competition was a concern, that probably made Spyker look like a better option. Their tiny production history of over $200,000 cars isn't exactly a classic threat to GM. It is also a bit of a concern to me - will Saab still make a $30 - $35k car in a couple years? Or will Saab / Spyker become sort of a "micro-brewery" in the auto industry...
I'm hopeful and extremely curious to see what happens in this new phase.
