The upright piano was a staple in homes 80 to 100 years ago. With the large demand there were many not so well built pianos sold. However there were some very good pianos built and a full upright has the string length of a medium size rand. Chickering, Wing and Son and Mason an Hamlin mae very good pianos that can sound as well today as when they were built.
If you play the piano what doyou think about the sound of the 2 pianos in question? If not, find someone who does and get their opinion, one might be worth keeping.
