Dash restore picture (kinda offf-topic) Posted by Notnoel [Email] (#23) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Notnoel) on Wed, 1 Dec 2010 14:48:03 In Reply to: Like this?, AaronG, Wed, 1 Dec 2010 07:46:18 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I love your kids car!
I noticed your pics of a C900 dash restoration you did in May. It looks like you did a REALLY nice job on that. How did it hold up over the summer? If it held up well, what's the climate like in the summer where you live?
I just finished reading that entire Alpha dashboard repair section and I am intrigued. There doesn't seem to be much reporting back by folks on that thread on the longevity of the repair (when it is done correctly).
I just bought a "crack-free" dash off FleaBay, and of course it does have a a couple of very tiny hairline cracks (almost invisible) that I want to prevent from growing. I have some two part SEM crack-filler that I got when I restored my SPG panels and bumpers that has held up great. I thought a bedliner treatment over this nearly perfect dash might be a good idea.
