They are fun to look at and have advantages. But all of these micro-cars are aimed at city/suburban folks who commute a relatively short distance and have to deal with city parking. I live in exurbia, don't commute, need an all-purpose car, and other than good gas mileage there is no advantage to this size car for me. Same goes for the Mini.
At 6'2" and 195 pounds, I don't want to do a 4 or 5 hour drive to NYC, 6-7 to upstate NY or 14 to Nova Scotia on vacation in something that size. The difference in mileage isn't worth being in a shoe box.
