Back around Christmas time I asked for some creative thinking about radiator alternatives in a bathroom. I thought Saabnet sold me on a Runtal baseboard, but my plumber recommended something else. He removed the old baseboard and moved the lines to under the vanity for a kickspace heater. It's 3.5" tall and has a thermostatic switch that turns on a little blower motor when the pipes reach 110 deg. F. And for about 1/4th the price of the Runtal I was looking at. The bathroom became 2/3's functional on Sunday (still waiting for epoxy grout to cure in the tub surround), and between the electric wire under the tile keeping the floor 82 deg. F and the heater blowing on my toes this morning, it's one comfortable bathroom to wake up to! Now I'm looking for other places around the house to stick these things.
