Just take the check and keep driving the car if the damage isn't too bad! I'm sorry to say my 9k has paid for it's purchase price in insurance money from a couple of fender benders, and while it's looking worse for wear because of it I certainly appreciated the cash when I was a student.
But wow, you can really lease a Cruze for $100/month!? That's probably less than I pay in maintenance on my older cars (and that's DIY) and the Cruze is actually a pretty nice car to drive. I'm a suborn b*stard and would probably stick with the old car, but I sure wouldn't begrudge anyone taking that lease deal!
