...but dump the thing when it hits 100K!
Some of the 2.0t engine's issues are well-publicized and have fixes: deposits on the intake valves and issues with the HP fuel pump cam follower.
But there's another serious issue that's mostly stayed under the radar. When they went from the 1.8t to the 2.0t they decided they needed balance shafts but there was no place in the block to put them. So they designed this assembly that hangs under the engine, in the oil pan, and has the oil pump and two balance shafts. Apparently that unit and its drive chain are both a bit underdesigned and tend to fail around 100K, causing an instant loss of oil pressure and sometimes sending parts flying around inside the engine. Definitely not something you want happening while you're cruising down the highway!
