I bought 3 unfinished tables and the hope is I will be able to stain them to a color close to what my kitchen cabinets are. The cabinets are cherry color. It is described as "Made from solid parawood". Which according to wiki is a rubber tree. Will the parawood require some kind of special prep before staining? Will parawood stain darker or lighter than the samples you see in paint stores? I really don't know much about staining wood so if there is something I should consider please let me know. Thanks.
