I’m not sure of the official numbers but I seem to see them almost every time I venture out away from my local area.
In fact when I test drove the vert I just bought up in Yonkers NY there was a 9-5 that passed going in the opposite direction - I took that as sign. I also saw one earlier this summer on my way to PA to look at a vert which I ended up not buying.
My nephew just turned 10 and is starting to get interested in cars a little. Before I sold my 9-5 we had to run an errand and he asked “What’s a Sab?” pronouncing it like ‘sad’ or ‘scab’. So I gave him a little history. He wasn’t impressed with the 9-5 (lack of a/c on a summer day probably had something to do with it). Then when we took him for a ride in the vert he said he wanted a Saab when he starts to drive. Hopefully there will still be a decent supply in 7 years!
