We were in Madrid last October. We have a 1987 Milano and a 1991 164S. We also have a 2001 9-5 Aero. Needless to say we are Alfa nuts (I had a '91 164 base and 3 Spiders). We were both blown away by the quality and fit & finish of the 166 and 156. The 156 Sportwagon is awesome. They did not have any 147s in the showroom. I want a 156 GTA (GTA is to Alfa as M is to BMW and S is to Audi). I think if Alfa just comes to the US with the Spider and 166, they're missing the boat. They need to bring the 156 and 156 GTA and go head to head with Audi and BMW and Saab. If they market them well and set up good service, they'll succeed. If they don't do it right (so far GM seems to have not ruined Saab) Alfa can succeed here. One thing about the Forbes article that is bullshit, the 166 is MUCH bigger than a 3 series, the 156 is as roomy inside as a 3, the 166 is more like a 5 series or bigger inside.
