The Eklund Viggen has about three things in comon with a production car.. the grill the hood and the block... the car is mostly carbon fiber panals that were made using a stock 9/3 as a mold. The frame is all tubular racing craft. The drive train, suspension, electronics and most everything on the car was specifically built to run the Pikes Peak race. It was mentioned at last years SOC that they might run a hill climb in NZ.AU with the car last fall, but I never heard any more about it.

For those of you attending the SOC, you might be in for a treat, as last year Saab flew the Eklund car in from Pikes Peak a short two days after the race... and Per was there as well... hearing that thing fire up is nothing short of "jaw-dropping".
