I wasn't clear if the window was literally in the shower - - which I am thinking is probably not the case.
here are some options:
Hunter Douglas Power Rise Sillouettes (sp) - - this is remote controlled window treatment that can be raised and lower as well as tilted to provide privacy. I have them in my house and they work great.
Window Frosting Patterns - - There are window frosting treatments that allow a person to see out a window clearly if you are close up to the pattern but from a distance the pattern obscures direct viewing. They are available in traditional and contemporary patters etc.
LCD Privacy Glass. This is a cool option and is great for a bathroom window. There is a clear lcd panel placed over the window. When you want privacy your 'turn it on' and it instantly frost over to obscure a neighbors vision.
I wouldn't do heavy tinting. Your privacy will be reversed at night - - you won't see out and people could still see in.
And your last option is to hire someone really fat and ugly to take a shower at night in your bathroom. One view of all that fat and the like and it will scare the neighbor from ever lookin in again. ;-)
