Funny you should mention it. I have been toying with the idea of getting a Classic 900 convertible and dropping (cramming, cutting squeezing, cutting whatever you want to call it) a (tuned)2.3T in it, if I get the time/space/money/permission :P. I dunno I just like the way those old gen 900 convertibles look. It won't be cheap, but that isn't the point :).
As far as new, with room for 4? I would say a Saab 93. However the Chysler Sebring is not a bad car either, just trying to give more optins :)
Ultimately have your friend test drive everything and see what HE likes, after all it will be his car...
