At least GM is managing to pump ink out of the 9X and 93X if not
yet sales. This kind of piece is priceless as there is something
in all of us which wants to be associated with a winner.
The piece also goes a long way toward dispelling prejudices that have
built up into the accumulated common sense about Saabs over the years
Saab marketers were never quite able to grapple with.
As Einstein said, "Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen." Auto writers use this prejudice e.g. when they continue to use the word "quirky" like a flock of f*king chickens, clucking on about the key on the tranny.
It makes me want to hurl. Instead of applying their minds to the job of reporting (who, what , where, when, how, and why) they leap to conclutions and fail to ask good questions. A good concept car forces them to ask good questions and a good writer makes the automobile buying public ask questions. Thanks for the piece. It's priceless.
